About this output

Summarizing Central University of Finance and Economics' development path for the discipline of digital economics across four dimensions: institutional positioning, milestones, the knowledge system framework, and institutional innovation.

Report Release

At the 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Alliance for Innovation of Independent Knowledge Systems in Digital Economics, Professor Baowen Sun delivered the report *CUFE's Practice in Building an Independent Knowledge System for Digital Economics*, systematically summarizing the Academy of Internet Economy's developmental path in discipline construction and the establishment of an independent knowledge system in digital economics.

Four Practical Dimensions

The report unfolds across four dimensions: the Academy's strategic positioning and development goals, milestones achieved over its first decade, the structural framework of the independent knowledge system in digital economics, and lessons learned in institutional innovation, elucidating how research platforms, discipline building, knowledge production, and research translation work in synergy.

Six Key Platforms

Pioneering China's first secondary discipline in Internet Economics, the Academy focuses on talent and project resources by establishing six major platforms: Beijing Internet Economy Development Research Base, the "111" Innovation and Talent Introduction Base in Internet Economics, Beijing Innovation Center for High-Quality Digital Economy Development, the Internet and Digital Economy Forum, the National Alliance for Digital Economy Education Development, and the Chinese Alliance for Innovation of Independent Knowledge Systems in Digital Economics.

Four Distinctive Features

Building upon these platforms, the Academy has established four distinctive pillars: compiling textbook series, publishing academic journals, operating top-tier talent development programs in internet and digital economics, and building high-level think tanks, interconnecting academic research, pedagogical training, research dissemination, and policy advisory services.

Future Directions

The Academy will continue refining the independent knowledge system of digital economics through academic inquiry, policy consultation, and talent training, advancing the development of specialized digital economics textbooks, deepening integrated research-teaching education, and serving national digital economic development strategies.
